I pride myself on my eclectic taste in music.  I really do listen to everything.  I have a favorite genre (R&B) but that doesn't mean that I exclude anything.  I'm an equal opportunity listener!!  Which leaves me open to hearing (and really liking) many songs that probably shouldn't even be on the radio.  Such as: "Wait (The Whisper Song)" by the Ying Yang Twins.  "Play" by David Banner.  "My Neck, My Back" by Khia....do you see the pattern?  Which leads me to some of the lyrics of my new favorite song:

It was either Here's to New Dreams Raven Symone (ya'll don't know about this!!) or Step by Step New Kids on the Block (step by step oooh baby) .

Honestly, it was probably a commercial jingle or a theme song from a TV show or cartoon.  I watched a lot of TV growing up.

3) Which song gives you that "funny nostalgic feeling" everytime you hear it?

There are so many that do that.  But I'll say any song by Immature gives me that feeling.  Goodness gracious I loved them. 

4) Name the first concert you ever went to.

I don't remember the year but I went to Zootopia when Hanson had their comeback. 

5) What do you consider the worst song of all time?

Right now I think it's Laffy Taffy.  I just don't get it.......

Now:
1) Name your fave song at the moment.

"Yo" by Chris Brown.  It's such a sweet song and he's just so adorable!

2) What is the most recent album/CD/Cassette you purchased?

 Destiny Fulfilled by Destiny's Child

3) Which song will you never get sick of hearing?

Maxwell's version of This Woman's Work.  I have been known to abruptly stop whatever it is that I'm doing (including walking or talking) just to listen to it and sing along.  I love this song.

4) What is your current fave music video?

I Know You Don't Love Me by Fifty Cent.  I don't think I've laughed that hard at a video (or person) in a very long time.  I also like the way it's set up with the multiple POV's. 

5) If you could be a famous music artist, what type of music would you produce?

I don't know what I would call it but it would be a mix of India.Aire, Mary J. Blige, Tina Turner, and Beyonce.     

::shrugs:: I was bored.  Now, I'm hungry.

Christmas loot:  Jamie Foxx album (It's ok), Mary J. Blige album (AMAZING!!), and the Core Secrets workout series, ball included (This is the only thing I really wanted.  Decided to start working out and this seems like fun.) 

But the best gift of all was given to me by the NBA and ABC:  A double header game.  Spurs vs. Pistons and Heat vs. Lakers!  6 hours of basketball!  It was all good.

And on a final note: I don't care what I have to do or who I have to assualt, when tickets for Mary J.'s tour go on sale I WILL be purchasing them!  I really need to hear these new songs live because they are wonderful. 

So I've been watching the American Music Awards and one thing has been on my mind for the past 2 hours: Mariah Carey needs to stop and think about it.  Why does she continue to squeeze her body into those little dresses?  Why doesn't she, oh I don't know, have the dresses made in her actual size!?  AND she pulled an Ashley Simpson:  she messed up, yet blamed the people and the things around her.  Why Mariah, why?  And gosh, I don't want to say it because I do like Mariah, but.... ::cough::lindsaylohanhperformedbetter::cough::  Yeah.
